The Process

We receive the raw material from a Certified Supplier, which ensures that all the fish received comes from sustainable and responsible fishing, adhering to the strictest national and international standards and regulations.

Our certified supplier works with six exclusive vessels for our plant, whose refrigeration system is based on state-of-the-art Recirculated Chilled Water (RSW), with an average capacity of 250 tons of fish per boat.

The process begins with the reception of cold fish, which is sent through vacuum pumps to the rotating filters and raw material storage area. The fish is then cooked and drained before entering the pressing process to obtain the press cake. This press cake is homogenized with fish soluble concentrate and proceeds to the double drying stage.

The dry product is sent to the cooling area where its temperature is stabilized. It then undergoes the grinding process to obtain the desired particles of the product. Finally, bactericide and antioxidant are added prior to packaging, and the product is later assigned to the finished product warehouse.

The liquid phase stage begins with the press liquor, generated during the cooking process, being transferred to the decanters through stainless steel pipes. Here, solids are separated from the liquid, and the resulting decanter liquor is sent to the centrifuges to extract the contained oil. After extraction, the oil is stabilized with antioxidants and then transferred to storage tanks.
